Battle Chess is a computer game version of chess game released for the 3DO, PC, Apple IIGS, Commodore 64, Amiga, Amiga CDTV, CD32, AtariST, Apple Macintosh, Acorn Archimedes, and the Nintendo Entertainment System. Developed by Interlay Productions, Inc., the game has been designed to attract people who do not play normally failures.
Battle Chess student game beyond a simple one stroke in a full-fledged war with sensational graphics and animations that bring each piece to life. The objective is the same as the version board game – to capture enemy pieces and finally the King.
The animations are extremely entertaining and intelligent. Fighting Bishop opponents using magic and twirl a stick blade retractable resembling a martial arts expert. The Pawn performs Wizardry and strikes the ground with the tip of his spear, which creates a hole large enough to swallow the bishop. The Queen uses magic to capture the opponents, and also blasts in parts using bolts of energy. In an animated sequence, the queen is decimating the opposing Knight and Bishop explosion with such force that only his skeleton remains!
The others have moments of glory too, and the queen dominates not always. For example, when the queen threw his bolt of energy Knight in turn can use his shield to redirect the bolt back to the Queen and turn into a little dragon. The tower is transformed into a large rock monster and attacks the Queen, swallowing whole. The tower also reduces the knight a helmet with feet crushing the head of the knight.
The king also has a bag of dirty tricks. He takes a gun against the bishop, the Tour with blasts of powder magic, and casts a bomb to Knight. When capturing the Queen, he kisses her passionately before striking with his rod, when she tries to stab him in back with a knife.
Once defeated, the king ends up looking like a deflated cartoon character in two dimensions. Reductions Knight opened the robe of the king, and his books in a two-dimensional version of himself who seems to have been crushed by a steamroller. The Pawn, with a flip of his spear, then takes the crown for the king himself as the king of books on the ground in frustration.
Battle Chess attracted many imitators, but none matched the animation comic artist Todd and Bruce Camasta Schlickbernd. The game can be played in 3D animation, and there is also a 2D version without animation. Over there is a total of 30,000 different movements in the library of the game can be played through 10 levels of increasing difficulty. The game can be played against a human opponent or against your computer. Another option is entertaining to watch the computer play against itself.
