How to get a BluRay player in my home theater system?
I have a Sony LCD TV, Panasonic DVD home cinema system an HD set-top box. Currently, I have component cables connect the high-HD decoder and DVD home cinema to my TV. Sound box HD goes home DVD theater "AUX" input (red and white cables). Thats the only entry there is. I will buy a BluRay player, how do I get audio from that to go in my home theater? if they were cheaper, id just buy a house Bluray system cinema to replace the dvd! So do you think I will not notice any difference switching component to HDMI or DVI? Thank you!
I think that your current configuration, it is impossible to connect your audio files with the limited connectivity of your system. If you go the route component replacement, I would discourage the purchase of an all-in-one system. Try a standalone receiver 5.1 or 7.1, depending on your budget. You can obtain decent 5.1 system for $ 300. Make sure it has a few HDMI inputs. Of course, you would still buy the player Blu-ray as well. You want to consider paying $ 450 to $ 500 using this approach.
