Home Theater Installation – What have we done wrong? "
A friend just bought a Yamaha YHT-495 Home theater system and problems with the configuration. He has a PS3 connected via HDMI to his TV and optical cable from the PS3 to its receptor. It becomes the image through the PS3, but no sound on the speakers. They work well when he is listening to the radio, but not when watching a movie. Any help would be appreciated.
You should change the PS3 audio to the optical output more. Under Settings and audio. Make sure that the optical the receiver is configured with the same input as the HDMI.
