Macbook Air

HP has managed to enter the netbook market with their HP 2133 Mini-Note model. It has the potential to be one of the mini-laptops most performance on the market with a 8.9 "screen and 1280×768 resolution, keyboard, mass (92% of the size of a standard laptop), and WLAN and Bluetooth finished in brushed aluminum, it is a recipe for a serious contender to already established netbooks, selling a little more than the leading Asus Eee PC 901 to around  £ 350.

Unlike other models that seem a little "Toy-like" in comparison, the 2133 is designed to last with an upper attractive brushed aluminum chassis and magnesium alloy. A scratch-resistant screen 'using an innovative treatment on the upper surface notebook Lcd Display 'further enhances the strength, even if it has been know people find this "treatment" too reflection, especially outside which leads to poor quality audience.

The reinforced frame size does and weight significantly higher than other netbooks similar size, 1.27 kilograms to 0.99 kilograms cons for the Acer Aspire One and Asus Eee PC 900, and 1.1 kg for the new Asus Eee PC 901 – these are differences, however small.
You can find the 2133 Mini-Note with a SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop, Windows Vista and XP, although most models available are Linux and Vista Business Edition.

A welcome bonus with great mini-note is a great interface. HP says the keyboard is "92% sized "is far from competing models. The touchpad is reasonable and in an effort to maximize space, the buttons are located on sides, similar to Acer Aspire One. I found it a bit awkward, but given the compromise for the keyboard more, there seems to be better model, especially for typing.

However, it has no hope of processor performance and battery life (for 3-cell version, barely half past one!) actually undermines the superb features of the model. The HP 2133 Mini-Note has a ridiculous startup time, as a minute half (the coated 20 seconds boot-up from cold on the Eee PC 901).
There is also the question of whether you could "upgrade" to a laptop 10 inch mini given the overall size of the mini-note compared to other 8.9 inch. The marginally larger Asus Eee PC 1000 could be more productive. Yes, it is slightly larger in all dimensions, but has the added benefit of 8 hours of battery life and performance greatly improved. Similarly, the MSI Wind, another INCHER 10 could also be considered.

In conclusion, there are many interesting features of HP 2133 Mini-Note, keyboard, smarter look, screen resolution and good connectivity. However, poor performance and battery life for ever hinder the user. In general, the mini-note is a good buy if you are not demanding programs (eg, word processing, in which case the general lend keyboard handy) but otherwise, the Acer or Asus is the way to go.

But all is not lost! HP launches a trio of mini-computer Mobile updated in the HP 1000 Mini brand. Promising improved performance of an Intel Atom 1.6GHz, both 8.9 and 10.2 inch screens and test MacBook Air in less than an inch thick, weighing closer to 1 kilogram. There is little news on the battery life improved, but I suspect appear that some improvements when it comes out in the United Kingdom in January 2009. But it is already in retail States to $ 399, and has its own mini-site
