How do you see for you network security key or passphrase on your desktop?
I just got my laptop (Dell Inspiron 15 and has a mini wifi wireless card) and connect the wireless connection or whatever .. its asking for network security key or passphrase and I do not know, is something simple … probably my modem / router is the WESTELL VERIZON 7500, Can anyone help me please? thanks
You can access your wireless router search for Wireless Settings tab. You can access your router if you know the username and password to it, and if you know the IP address of the router through your browser. On the Start menu, go to Run and type CMD and click OK a DOS window appears black. Type IPCONFIG and press the ENTER key. the line that says "Default Gateway" will have an IP address at the end (usually 192.168.1.1) and this is the address to enter in your browser to access the router. Once you enter the address in the router, a login box should appear. Once more, you must know the user name and password. there some defaults, usually admin / admin, admin without password, admin password, etc. Sounds like Verizon provides the modem, and must be able to give the correct input. Once in the router, you want to see the Wireless Setup tab. the passphrase must be clearly visible there.
