My external hard drive makes my laptop crash and not start. Any ideas on how to help?
I plugged my old external hard drive (5 years and over) in my 1.5 years old laptop for the first time this morning and it crashed my computer. Now I can not even on my computer, even if the battery is fully charged. Anybody have any ideas? " Should not I connect this external hard drive another computer ever?
Some readers will not work correctly if you start the computer first, then plug the reader into the computer completed after its start. It also may not be compatible with the new operating system. Visit the website of your hard drive see if there is an upgrade of its firmware to make it compatible with operating systems newer. Also check the compatibility of your site OS to see if the disk appears. You may need to plug into an old machine to retrieve the data and copy it onto a news reader or directly to your new computer.
