oversee the review and problem solving?

First, I have a 19 "Viewsonic CRT monitor which is about 5 years old. Sometimes displays so thin you can barely see but then looks to correct the brightness level. No checks. Does anyone know why this would happen? It's hard to believe that a Viewsonic that more than 5 years of age is wrong as well but maybe. Secondly, I just bought a widescreen LCD Monitor Samsung Syncmaster 931BW and can not find any reviews on it. Can someone turn me into a place for reviews? I can find one on any other Samsung products, but it. TIA Steve

The CRT itself is a large vacuum tube. Like all vacuum tubes that requires a certain amount of stress and heating. The voltage is controlled by the flyback transformer and is partially responsible for the brigthness well. It is possible that the flyback transformer is defective.
