Then the warmth of a defective battery PowerBook ruin my motherboard?
I recently had one. Fully functioning powerbook g4 12 "Apple Laptop 3 months ago, I bought a new battery, which ended up being one of the batteries that were recalled. I noticed the battery was warmer than my old battery, but thought nothing at all. A week ago, suddenly my computer froze (gasp!). This never happened before, but when I tried to start it, the computer was dead and could not read the disk. Approximately two days later, the opinion of battery recall hit the news. I sent for my new battery, which is on the road. Could this failure the logic board of the fault of a defective battery? If so, the apple will replace it for free?
I do not see why they would not fix your motherboard, as you can prove that it was the battery that caused the damage. There are already reports of damage limited. I think the minor damage they are referring to the computer system itself. All you can do is give them a call, be calm and nice to see what they say. If they give you no problems then slowly became angry.
