There are several lists with "ways to make money with a website" on the internet, but none of them seems to be complete. That's why I created this. If you know a method that is not listed then let us know and we will update it.
Note note that the way to make money with a website are different ways to make money with it. Methods to increase your traffic or CTR will help you make more money, but not a method of making money per se.
For example, one could suggest that blending AdSense ads with the content is a way to make money from a website. Not really, it's just a way to make more money by improving your ad click-through rate. The method of monetization real behind it is a PPC advertising network.
The list is divided into direct and indirect methods, and examples and links are provided for each point. Enjoy!
Direct Methods
1. PPC advertising networks
Google AdSense is the most popular in this category, but there are others. Basically must register with the network and paste some code snippets on your website. 3. Direct Banner Advertising

7. Sponsored Reviews
PayPerPost pioneered this model, with much controversy on the beginning (related to the fact that does not require disclosure of payment messages.) Soon other companies followed, notably Sponsored Reviews and ReviewMe, the refining process and expand the payment blogs.
Next to one of these markets sponsored reviews give you the opportunity to write sponsored posts a wide range of topics. Not all bloggers are willing to get paid to write about a particular product or website (because it could jeopardize the credibility of staff); but those who are making good money out of it.

14. Paid Surveys and polls

Basically, You have to register with them, and select the type of survey you want to run your site. Most of these services operate under a CPM model.
15. Sell or rent internal pages
Million Dollar Wiki made this concept popular, but was being used on the web for a long time around (Pagerank10.co.uk check for example).
These websites sell for a single price or rental of a periodic internal pages of your domain. Usually have high traffic or high Pagerak, so people buy a page can benefit in some way.
The application of this method on a small blog would be difficult, but concept was interesting and could be studied further.

Selling your website could be your last resort, but has the potential to generate a large sum of money in a short period of time.
market places on online forums like DigitalPoint and Sitepoint are always active with website buyers and sellers. Note that most use parameter to determine the value of a website is the monthly income it generates, multiplied by a certain number (the multiplier can be anything from 5 to 30, depending seller's expectations, the quality of the site in the niche market and other factors.)

Perhaps one of the oldest money making strategies on the web, using a website to promote a related ebook is a very efficient way to generate income.
You could structure the whole website the book itself, as SEOBook.com, or launch the ebook based on the success of the website, as FreelanceSwitch did the book How to Be a Rockstar Freelancer.
